EXTENSION WORK

  • Appointed as NSS Programme Officer of MGM College, Udupi on June 1992 and continued up to March 1995. Conducted three annual camps and many day camps. Greening of Udupi, removal of eupatorium, creating social awareness and many socially useful programmes were conducted throughout the period.
  • Worked as National Service Scheme Programme Officer of Vijaya College Mulki from 1990 to 1992 and instrumental for many innovative ideas.


TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT AT UDUPI DISTRICT

  • Selected as Coordinator, District Task Force, TQM, Udupi District which is responsible for conducting TQM related training to all the faculties of colleges coming under Udupi District Task Force. This Task Force has eminent persons of Udupi District as its members. Presently, holding the responsibility as TQM Coordinator.
  • As a Coordinator of Udupi DTF, conducted many training, workshop and worked in collaboration with District Authorities and State Government Officials.

            Prepared various projects relating to college such as NAAC Report of MGM College, Report for Potential for Excellence of the College, 10th and 11th Plan Proposal of the College, Proposal for Additional Wing for Ladies Hostel during X Plan and XI Plan, NAAC RAR Report for First Assessment and for Re-accreditation during 2010, Research Guidelines of MGM, etc. Guided the principals and senior faculty of some colleges in the preparation of NAAC Report. Guided many faculty of the college in applying various projects for funding.

Integration of Digital Knowledge for Enhancing Classroom Communication

            I possess strong aptitude for using digital knowledge for classroom communication. I have working knowledge of the following applications.
  • Microsoft word, its reference styles, macros, cross reference, index, special features required by a researcher.
  • Power Point, its special features.
  • Excel - directed our college staff in the preparation of salary programmes using excel, formulae fitting in excel.
  • Front Page Express, webpage creation, apache, php - created some WebPages of college level activity, etc At present looking after college website
  • Articulate Presenter, and Jeopardy to enhance classroom experience.
  • Articulate Quizmaker, after every class quizzes of covered topic is presented so that retention behavior of students reinforced.
  • Working knowledge of flash, movie editor, Photoshop � used for classroom communication.
  • Got training from Paddy Gant of United Kingdom (PHD Computer Consultants Limited) in making Conference CD. Conference-CD is a turn-key system for gathering together conference presentations and getting them quickly and simply onto CD. Prepared Conference CD by using the software developed by PHD Consultants.
  • Trained many colleagues in using Sound Forge, initiated Digital Record of all the proceeding of MGM College.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Professional, Adobe Design, Adobe Screen Shot, Abby Fine Reader 9, OCR Conversion, Snag It, Photo Plus, Web Copier, MP3 Direct Cut, subscribed many online libraries like Questia.com, etc. This knowledge is shared and used only for enhancing the knowledge of my students.
