Constitution of Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College, Udupi applied for accreditation by NAAC in the month of February 2003 and peer team visited the college on 5th and 6th August 2003. The NAAC has given B++ Grade to this college on 16th September 2003. The Peer team wrote "MGM College Udupi conveys an optimistic message of how a growth oriented educational institution can bring about rapid tranformation of an extremely backword rural area through a dynamic process of education and cultural activities.... Cherishing and cultivating a chain of academic institutions of different hues, but serving the basic cause of educating minds, is indeed rare among Indian Affiliated Colleges". The Internal Quality Assurance Cell has been constituted as per the revised guidelines for the preparation of the Report for the year 2007-08.

The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College would strive to provide quality education to develop competence for employment as well as entrepreneurship, to promote thinking and creativity , by organizing activities that will contribute to understanding of family and social responsibility and national integration , through cordial relationship between and among stakeholders using innovative teaching and learning processes and humane methods.
